Dartmoor Pony Society Supporters Group - Extract from August 2008 Newsletter
Mrs. Sue Martin writes : "We are very pleased to have set up the above group for which the main aims will be:
- To promote the pedigree Dartmoor Pony, always a good idea.
- To provide a greater social side to the Dartmoor Pony Society, this could be achieved by any event an individual wanted to arrange, it might be as simple a coffee morning or a quiz night. Hopefully it will allow members who do not show to have a chance to meet up with fellow Dartmoor enthusiasts.
- Any fund raising which arises will be beneficial to the Society, this would depend on the activity, we might not make any profit or we might make a lot. Any money raised would not be spent on the daily running costs of the Society but specific items. E.g. something for the showfield.
Further details will be given at the AGM and in following Newsletters.
This group will be co-ordinated by Sue Martin, she can be contacted on 01822 880223 if you wish to discuss any details or have any ideas. Please check if you are arranging an event with Sue to confirm that you will be covered by insurance and if she needs to arrange a risk assessment form to be completed.
If any member is arranging an event please contact the office so it can be included on this site.
The Society wishes to give Members the opportunity to include photographs of their ponies on this web site.
If any Member has suitable photographs preferably taken by themselves or their family, to avoid problems of copyright, and suitable for inclusion on this web site including the home page please e-mail them to secretary@dartmoorponysociety.com. N.B. no professional photos please.
