All ponies eligible for registration in
the Stud Book must be registered by December 31st of the year of foaling.
After that date they are no longer eligible for registration.
All breeders must send a service certificate to accompany the registration form.
Forms are available from the Honorary Secretary, Mrs. V. Brown, Swn Yr Afon,
Thornhill Road, Cwmgwili, Llanelli, SA14 6PT. (SAE appreciated).
Progeny of Stallions who do not hold a D.P.S. Veterinary
Certificate at time of conception cannot be accepted for registration.

Members living within the Dartmoor National Park who do not show ponies
outside Devon, may register ponies at half fees, i.e. Fillies £T.B.C.

Scheme. |

| REGISTRATION OF COLTS, STALLIONS AND GELDINGS |

All colts on registration will be issued with
a number prefaced by the letter “C”.

Re-registration into the Gelding Register is free
of charge. Please return the Certificate to the office for amendment.

Owners intending to keep stallions entire for
riding or driving purposes only must re-register the colt/stallion
into the Exemption Register. Please see notes 4 and 5 below.

No progeny can be registered sired by a colt/stallion
that has not been re-registered into the Stallion Register. Please
apply to the office for details.

No colt/stallion will be accepted into the Stallion
Register unless it possesses a Dartmoor Pony Society Veterinary Certificate.
Details will be sent with application form.

There are still a few stallions with the old N.P.S.
Stallion numbers which were not licensed under the previous Ministry
Scheme and do not possess Dartmoor Pony Society Veterinary Certificates.
Please note that 5 and 6 above apply to these stallions also.

No entire may be shown in stallion or colt classes,
other than yearling or two year old class, unless it has been re-registered
into the stallion register and holds a Dartmoor Pony Society Veterinary
Certificate.
